Well, it's easier than quitting drinking.

1 Check to make sure safety is on.
2 Rounds go in bottom of shotgun with shiny bit in last.
3 Rack the slide all the way back and forward while finger is not on trigger.
4 Point at target.
5 Remove safety.
6 Place finger on trigger and squeeze.
7 Apply safety.
8 Repeat as needed.

Ah, it's a .410. Was wondering about the barrel on that one...

It's also Michigan, except your more likely to hit a swamp than a radio tower.

When I lived in KY, there was a "public range" near where people went "muddin" (it may have been an abandoned quarry, or the hillside behind the target area may just have collapsed).

No fees, no range masters, just a dirt/gravel road leading in, and a sign with rules (no shooting bottles, take your trash away with you, fire towards the cliff, etc.).
You had to bring in your own targets, and were responsible for your own safety.
Perfectly legal, and lots of fun for just "making some noise" or "throwing some rounds downrange", but the lack of targets (or even target frames) made it hard to do serious shooting, like zeroing.

More a case of free speech infringed after Columbine.

We are enough afraid of students killing their classmates and school staff that we will arrest and prosecute them for thought crimes, but we aren't concerned enough to allow teachers who pass all the requirements for a concealed carry permit to carry on school grounds.
