Well, I have one entry for sure this year. I just finished my first display miniature in about two years. I still need to do the base this week, but the figure is done. It feels good to finally be past the bit of a painting slump I have been in for quite some time...

I can somehow see Chrono gaining a new title by the end of all this. Every time I see a pic of his minis, I hate him that little bit more. :P One of these days I'll go so green I could be legally classified as an Orc.

Here I am with my amazing ability to ask dumb questions that have already been answered in some way that is far too subtle for me to get!
For entry in the Beginner's category, is that restricted to only *one* mini, or is a two-figure scene allowed?

Hi sin,

No such thing as a dumb question. Only silence is dumb.

In the BEGINNER category, you need to enter a single model. But if you have a 2-model scene, that's perfect for the OPEN category. So I'd encourage you to pick another mini for the Beginner category, and submit your scene in the open category.

PS - Hooray for cento getting something done!
PPS - Crazee: I was thinking the exact same thing myself the other day. Chrono rulez.

Go beginer catagory!

If I can find a mini I like then I'll enter!

I was thinking something Eldar, but I don't know...

Could I enter in beginner AND other things?

If I win in something else (not likely) am I DQ'ed from beginner?

Thanks
Well, lets not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet.

StreetMeat: You can enter all the categories, including the Beginner category, as long as you've never entered a contest and don't consider yourself an expert. Winning other categories does not preclude you from entering the beginner category.

A contest eh? Well, I guess ill just Win this little "contest" of yours and proclaim myself Master of the universe!

One question though,
Beginners category, must you have never in your life touched a paintbrush to qualify or simply never had any experience in any painting contest/activity thingy before...

The latter, I believe....

Be honest, though.... If you paint like Jen Haley, you have no business in the beginner category...

Hi Morinn:

You can enter the Beginner category if:
A) You have never entered a painting contest before and
B) You do not consider yourself a competitive painter.

There's no honor in winning the Beginner category if you're capable of competing to win the other categories.

You guyz trying to put pressure on me or something?
I think I'll join in some select categories, and work on that promise I made to crazee about a certain drawing. ;)

Cheers
